A "skatepaparazzi" mailed me this picture, apparently there seems to be something going on between the Sweetrider  Björn Holmenäs and photographer Robin "Baboon" Nilsen. Dont forget to watch "Baboons monday fog blogg" on the sweet site, it's amazing.

Banana Split#3
One of the slovenian skaters told us that in Dubrovnik the dessert Banana Split was named Banana Dubrovnik cause somebody had probably been in Split and thought aha you just put the citys name after banana and there you have it. So now il go out for a Banana Malmö, if you're interested in seeing some touristy pictures go for the lizzard. Ciao

We´re going to Prauge today. Well, not all of us, anyway, we´ll see about updates this week, it all depends on internet conections and such.

Anuddadayindemburbz
I haven't skated since I busted my toes at Jonas' housewarming party last Saturday but today I joined a  good bunch of rippers just to get close to some roll stuff. I tried to skate a little and got really happy when i realized it didn't hurt too much and I even checked off a super clean ollie manual. I celebrated by shooting a line on one of my favorite dudes/skaters - Isak Ström. Don't accept the shaky filming, send me some threatening mails instead, that should straighten me out. //Martin

"BANANA SPLIT TRIP" UPDATE#1
Now I am back on swedish ground again after a week spent in Split, Croatia with Jugga, Tjernberg and Staffan. The Croatian coast is beautiful and the food and beer tasted "mumma", the Karlovacko and Cevapici is something you cant miss if you are going there. Keep your eyes open for motion pictures but until then go for the dessert.

A Day in That Park
Micke Fihnborg was my skate buddy back in the day. He was a ripper, a true comedian and he really had a way with words. He used to spontaneously translate Swedish words to English and it usually came out all backwards. One time he said that we should go to "The Gate of the Humble". We understood nothing but it soon became clear that he had meant the park of Humlegården, which I think should be something like "Hops Park" in English. Yesterday me, Mika and Love went there like we do every once too often. Look at our day here if you want to.

Hunger is a thick gravy
With the team scattered all across the land it's been a little hard to make things happen here at bellowsskateboards.com. So what to do but to put my own scrawny bottom up ones again? And on top of that, it's indoors. //Martin
Here's a little something from two weeks ago when Nicke Svensson was down visiting, and yeah I added an old picture of Martin aswell.

Pass that camera!

Jonas, Sami and I used to skate and hang out every day, but then we all moved out of the country. First Jonas went to the U.S and stayed there close to 9 years, then Sami went to Australia to study during 4 years and I went to Spain and France for almost 5 years. Now that Jonas moved home a few weeks ago we´re all back again, stoked. Here´s a tripple line we filmed while passing the camera around at the park today.

Mika and I went on a Junkyard.se photo shoot the other day. The batterys to my camera died within the first half hour so I didn´t get to shoot that many photos. We did however get one of me flying, it´s true, see for your selves by clicking HERE

Long Friday Short Update
In Sweden you're supposed to spend the Friday before Easter doing nothing. By 'doing' that you're paying tribute to the sufferings of the greatest wine maker in history. So I listened to some hymns on TV and then went on to pay tribute to Ed Templeton as well. The ritual is shown in its entirety below. //Martin

No Jönköping for me:(.
The stormy weather affected my trip to Jönköping. This morning I got on the train to Jönköping but due to the storms in southern sweden I got stuck in Hässleholm. There were suppose to be compensationbuses picking us up but it wasn't it was 200 other travellers and no buses. After one hour the first bus arrived and it was war, some of the travellers had been waiting since yesterday. I realized I wouldn't get to Jönköping until late so I headed back to Malmö. Heres two photos from the crowd pleasers.

Mika comp settled!
Eva Täljemark of Gothenburg and Christopher Backholm from Tumba didn't need long to figure out that Mika ended his line with the trick that Team Alva's John Thomas managed to make a whole career out of - the magnificent TUCK KNEE! Below you can gaze upon Mr Thomas pro model displaying the maneuver as well as some odd looking martial violence.
Mika comp aint over till it's over
Still no correct answers in the Mika competition leaves me no other option than to give you a hint so here it is: Mika does the same trick in his part in Lurking Class. For your none-scrolling pleasure I posted the clip again right below. Send your answer to info@bellowsskateboards.com and name the mail "mika contest" or something. Come on now, the two Lurking Class DVD's are dying to meet you!

9 hours in Copenhagen....
Last friday me, Danijel Todorovic and Björn Tjernberg made a spontaneous visit to Copenhagen. The Hose is (almost) back
Mika, Hazze and Johan must have made quiet an impression on Jonas Sohn whilst visiting him in the U.S. because he accompanied the trio back to his second home land. And as if that wasn't enough, the absence of sun and heat seemed to please him to the point where he has decided to move back to Stockholm after many a San Diego year. Well, the fact that his wife lives in Stockholm now might have something to do with it too... Jonas has now returned to S.D. to get his laundry or something but he will be back in no time. I guess the number of Swedish people missing Jonas' skating over the years is legio, so I  filmed a line on him one morning in Stockholm Skatepark. You can easily watch it below. Welcome back Slangen! //Martin

Music quiz winners.
The second Music quiz was held at El-Amir this past saturday. Questions included everything from Huf´s year of birth to who rides for DGK but since our teams age ranged from 22 to 46 we had it all covered, I have to say that Simon Stenborg was without a doubt MVP so thanks to him we´ll be enjoying a free dinner tonight.
Here´s some photos I found from last weeks Junkyard office/showroom opening.

Mika contest still on!
We have not yet received a fully correct answer to what trick that ended Mika's line. Our good west coasty friend Henrik Svan is without a doubt the one getting the closest so far and here's his answer (in translation). "Long back arm, heavy front foot and light but energetic back foot, there can't be anything else than a benihana that ends the line. Yeah!" Yes, "Bling" certainly knows his skateboard physics and will be rewarded with a Lurking Class DVD. That means that the two remaining copies are still up for grabs so send your best guesses to info@bellowsskateboards.com as soon as possible. I got so happy when I got Henriks answer that I had to make a little clip of him skating Paris from a trip that we made a few years back. It's just a couple of millimetres below. //Martin

MIKA LINE AND CONTEST
Below you can see Mika doing a cute little line in Stockholm Skatepark. Now, if you would like to get your clammy ones on a Lurking Class DVD you only have to guess what trick Mika did after I decided it was enough and hit the rec button. Send your answers to info@bellowsskateboards.com and name the mail 'mikacontest'. There are 3 DVD's in the pot and the contest is on until next Friday. If no correct answer comes up I will decide who's gotten the closest. //Martin
Hasse Lindgren VS Jonas Sohn in madness!!!
Tomorrow morning we are going back to sweden:(. Here is something funny, the other day Hans lost a 100 dollar bill. As you could see earlier I caught him fighting a chair. Now it is Jonas turn, when we met him at the ASR he had two sets of new SKF bearings he was really stoked on. Two hours later when we were in his car going back to his place he realized he had forgotten them at the tradeshow. When we came home to his place he flipped, totally flipped check it out here.

Ok, we have some winnners!
The correct answer to who was pictured in front of the pyramids was Øyvind Aspen and the first 3 to get it right was: Albert Jalap, Nikos Plegas and Sebastian Österman. Congrats! Lurking Class will be sent out in the morning.
Still no correct answers in the polaroid competition. Who could this be? Here´s a hint. If you have been following the updates the last few weeks it should be really simple...Send answers here.

We still have a few days left in the U.S. This weekend it was the ASR tradeshow, pretty hectic. There we hooked up with Jonas Sohn and went to a party friday night and he took us skating saturday. Now we are back in San Diego after our 3 days journey to Huntington beach. We went to Huntington beach were Hasse used to live in the 80's we stayed at a hotel there and just strolled around town, went out eating and bubbled in the hotels jacuzzi until we were wrinkled as raisins. During sunday we made a quick visit to Venice beach and walked the whole beachwalk. We skated a litlle bit in the venice park and the curbs that are there. It was fun to see all the strange characters that hangs around that beachwalk. Monday we headed back, on the the way back Hasse visited a few brands that he sales and me and Mika skated the Volcom park. Click Mikas 180 nosegrind for photos.

Engelkes lives!
Last week I visited our web-wookie Andreas. He treated me to coffee and chocolate and then made me very happy by tagging along with me to the skatepark. I knew that I would become Johan's hero if I got some footage of Andreas so I forced him to produce a line. Click the photo of Andreas and his skyskraper hair for the action. //Martin

I can feel the cheese all upp my throat from the food we eat. We are having a good time here in San Diego, we have eaten alot!! This is the places we have tried: Taco Bell, Hensleys bar, Islands, Wahoos, Tin fish, Surfers Teriyaki and that cosy place at the beach + a few more. Today we are hedding up to LA. Besides from that  we have been to the indoorparks that the brands here have. The ones we have visited are DC, Adio, Plan B and Tony Hawks ramp. Feels good to skate inside when we are in sunny California. Mika went crazy shopping and bought a waterproof camera and an Ipod. Hopefully we will se Mika update the page someday. United States of America here we are....
Ok now we are here or I am here for the first time, fells nasty. We arrived at 17:30 San Diego time and that means 2:30 in the morning in sweden, we were pretty tired by then but managed to stay awake until 23:00 San Diego time. To not fall asleep we went downtown and had a fishtaco and a few beers but when we arrived to the fancy motel6 it didn't take many seconds until the head banged the pillow. The time is 9:30 now and we are going to Dennys for breakfast so hasta la vista. For photos click me and Mika.

But I didn't get any tricks only answers on the questions. Anyway, Mika called me up yesterday at 22.30 just to say that he had made himself an egg sandwich and a beer for supper. I really liked that because like "Mika Modin" I'm a big fan of the Swedish tv-show Mäklarna (The Brokers) and there's a brilliant scene in one episode involving the mentioning of an egg sandwich and pilsner. He also sent me a photo for proof. Thank's Mika, as long as there's people like you around there will be no premiere butterflies in my belly.
See you tonight. //Martin

Analog open Trollhättan 3/11 and kebab sauce novellen.
Our own Bellows rider Mika Edin won the Analog contest VIIHUUU. Congratulation Mika, we are really proud of you. More results to see if you click the Kebab pizzas. For me the trip was not only the contest it was alot about the kebab sauce. Both me and Björn Tjernberg loves kebab sauce the way it is made in trollhättan and Södertälje. It is like a mixture of the White and the red sauce. The color gets more orange. We both have been in Trollhättan before so we started to talk about sauces even before we arrived. During friday night we decided to go for a pizza and we did not get disappointed. When we got the Pizzas Björn thought it was'nt enough sauce on it, so he asked for more. The guy behind the counter pointed at the table where you take the pizza salad and look there it was. A sport bottle filled with kebab sauce so you could put as much as you wanted it was like a dream. As you can see on the photo I accidently over used the sauce.

There will also be a premiere on Saturday 17th at the WeSC shop in Stockholm starting 13.00 for those under 18 that can´t enter on Friday. Bellows boards will also be a bit cheaper during friday night and this day, Wooohooo

Mika Sliding long and there is a contest this weekend.
Found this excellent clip with Mika bs lip sliding the rail in Humlegården, long and smooth. Dont forget that there is a contest held in Trollywood this saturday 3/11. I will go there and Mika aswell. Ola is still recovering from his knee surgery but I heard he has rolled a bit on the board though. Love will not attend cause he has sprained his ankle, he will be up on the board soon.  for more info about the comp click here.

Breaking news!
After only having skated vert 3 times, Mika landed his first bs air two days ago. He also did fs airs but i think the bs ones are the hardest to do so that one will get all the attention. I shot a photo of it with a friends camera but i haven´t received the photo yet so the proof will have to wait, sorry.
I got a link to Pascal Strüwers film Tidens minne which is now available for free as podcasts at Transition.se. The film is divided into 12 parts and a new one will appear every Monday and Thursday so if you are interested in seeing some Swedish skateboard history, click HERE to download it.

There were only guys invited so there where a lot of talk about the new Iphone and who was drunk and who was not etc etc. It was a good party, thanks Benhög. Need a new camera!!!
I just got back from a video comersial production for junkyard.se and i had brought my camera to shoot some photos but for some reason the memorycard would be full after shooting THIS only photo. I´m gonna get a new one asap. We were filming some downhill runs for the comersial in the rain which was interesting, there were some slams but nothing too serious. well, that´s it from me.

Home From the Range
“I made it through the wild, wild west” didn’t Madonna really sing but I do now since I’m home again, far from fangs, fur and flawless service. A few days after my last update winter came to Wyoming, making my production of skateboard footy even more of a struggle than usual. But after a few days in Yellowstone, some hiking, a deserted wedding party and a little  bingo playing, the sun decided to shine upon the town of Jackson Hole again. This gave me and my personal videographer Lotta one day to rack up some slappy slippin’,  a lot of unsorted weirdness and a most surprisingly, a milligram of pool skating. The pool would’ve been skateable if it wasn’t for the water in the deep end so until my next visit I have added some buckets to my K-Mart shopping list. Click the photo of my bison steak (it was crazy good!) for the show. Charge!

New concrete parc.
This weekend held the grand opening of a new concrete parc in Avesta, Sweden. The parc is big and looks really good. Mika went there to try it out and was mighty stoked, he sent me this photo of a back smith in one of the bowls shot by Anders Neuman, thanks dude.
I was also sent a link by another Photagrafer, Jens Andersson. The Jens had an idea about shooting skateboarding from the birds eye view so we went out to give it a try. Turned out really cool i´d say. Here´s the result: http://www.thejens.com/page31.html
First up is Mika nosbluntsliding some banked curbs, the Head ideologyst Karlsson is frontside 5-0-ing on a bank to barrier then me doing a back lip on the water front.

JACKSON HOLE VIDEO
So, here's the story. My girlfriend Lotta who is doing her PhD in biology got sent to the small town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming to visit some fellow scientists. I figured that this was the chance I've been waiting for to get to see another side of the great country than the urban wastelands of southern California. So I tagged along and now I'm here for a two week visit and believe me when I say that this place rules! The town is small with some 9000 inhabitants and is elevated more than 2000 meters above sea level. It's located on the border of the Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park is just a short drive away (we're going there today) so I don't have to tell you it's pretty scenic out here. Of course the town has a skatepark and if you click my photo of the mountain sheep you will see me tear it to pieces. Big credit to Lotta for filming - great job! There is also some shaky bonus footage of two mountain sheep climbing a rock that I shot yesterday while taking a bike ride in something called the National Elk Refuge. More Jackson updates to come! //Martin

Tidens minne premiere.
So, last night held the premiere for Pascal´s retrospective video Tidens minne. Loads of people showed up to share laughs and old stories, it was a night of nostalgia basically. Good job Pagge. For those of you that missed it and want to see it i heard a rumor that it will pe posted as a podcast somewhere, not sure though but we´ll link it if it happens.
Sorry to say that the flash on my camera didn´t work for some reason so there are no photos to post, but here´s a little something just for the sake of posting a photo.

Last days in Paris...
Now I am back in Malmö and I have to say that the trip was a really good one eventhough we were unlucky with the weather. I think we had two days without rain, but that didn't stop us from having fun. We went to the Effiel tower twice, the first time the sun showed up right when we arrived so we headed home directly to get our boards. The second time we got up in the tower. Here you can see photos from the tower and all the other stuff we did. And once again a big thank you to Ben and Biblis for letting us stay at their place.

Nostalgia, you mega midschool banana!
Yes, it's finally time. Jean-Pascal Strüwer has put his last touch on the much anticipated film "Tidens Minne" (The Memory of Time) and it will be shown for the very first time at Boulala's restaurant El Amir on October 11. The flick is a retrospective covering the 1990's skate scene in Stockholm so expect a few tears and beers spilled. Be there, even if you weren't there then. Click the flyer for trailer. //Martin

HOUSE MANIA VIDEO!

Long time since I updated our little lighthouse in the world wide web sea, but here's finally a little video I just edited. It's entirely from a session at the House Mania squat in Oslo where Per from Gothenburg has built a great little skate park. It's filmed by Lars Gartå and the locals that we're trying to keep up with are Gabeeb, Tony and Claes. Thanks for letting us skate Per. Click here. Have to run now, something's smelling a bit to hot from the kitchen.

The longed for Nuke Em banquet.

Ok, now I have to tell you how it all started with the banquet. This is how it goes. Nicke Svensson helped me, I think 5 times fixing my Puch Dakota. I wanted to make it up to him so I told him I wanted to take him to the Czech restaurant Soldier Svejk. So me, Martin and Nicke met up at the restaurant, ate and had a few beers. Nothing strange. Then Nicke said "I think the Nuke Em guys (Per Magnusson, Pyssling, Mattias Nylen and Nicke is also included in Nuke Em but he was already with us.) are nearing Stockholm. And yes they were, half an hour later they came. 2 hours later I had drunk 4 or 5 beers and 3 or 4 Fernets. After that I got pretty round under my feet or I think everybody got. See the photos for proof. The day after that was the day we were leaving for Oslo. So when we meet up Martin said to me "So what did you think of the Nuke Em Banquet yesterday?" That's the story, nothing more nothing less.

Click the menu for photos.

Malmö related Update:)

Yes Love I moved to Malmö yesterday. Feels good so far, but I havent really met anyone yet. Tried to call some people last night to go out for a beer but nobody answered or maybe they didn't want to answer. Anyway I saw this morning that I had a missed call from P-mag(Per Magnusson) and he had spoken in a message on my answering machine saying something like. "I heard you moved to Malmö. Now you have to play by our rules, come drink with us so we can see what you are made of". Sounds dangerous but I guess thats the way it is in Malmö, hard. Other than that I forgot the cable that goes from the digicam to the computer at Loves house so I am not able to update with photos right now. But he will post the cable today so I will have it here soon. I have good photos from both the Oslo trip and the "Nuke em banquet" where you can see more action from P-mag and their team.

Oslo 2
We are done with Oslo for now but we're by no means through with that rippers delight of a city. Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Murphy's law is the theory claiming that everything that can go wrong will go wrong and it is supposed to explain why a dropped sandwich lands butter-side down most of the time. Well, last Sunday, while trying to carry to many things from the kitchen to the living room as usual, it was proved to apply for other cuisine as well. Click picture.

Trollywoood update.
Junkyard.se held their annual junkfest this past weekend so we hopped on a train to Trollywood...

Malaga people and swedens proudest bottom (Björn Holmenäs) in Stockholm.
Two weeks ago Björn Holmenäs visited Stockholm to film for the upcoming Sweet video. I got to spend some time with him and I was also blessed to hang out with Malaga Locals Koffe hallgren and Daniel Spängs. They have been living in Malaga on and off for at least two or three years. I think they are going back to Malaga tomorrow actually. Björn used to live in Malaga but now he has moved back to his hometown Trollhättan. Press on the group of people too see Björns rowdy days in Sthlm, sleepovers, slams, work and beer.

Häggvik Hegemony video
This Saturday, Love had planned for the whole team to go to Häggvik and skate the concrete trannies. Unfortunatly, Johan and Mika was on spa-weekend in Söderhamn while Ola had to take care of some dog, a sore neck from sleeping between the bed and the couch combined with very untimely knee pains. But shame on the ones who give up, which means Love had to make do with me, his homeboy Dan from Karlstad, Bemo and Lars Spets. Not exactly the Bellows team but not exactly the worst pack of diagonal sailors in the business either. Press mouse button on the polaroid below to see all the fun we had.

Söderhamns Slotts weekend.
Me and Mika visited Söderhamn for the famous barbeque battle contest. I took 2:nd place in the street comp and Mika 3:rd. We arrived at thursday but it was rainy so we did other stuff than just skate. Click here to see all different kinds of photos from the weekend.

Wonderwall...
A while ago, me and Love where out skating and filming. I talked to him about frontside wallrides from flatground, how timeless, cool and hard they are and how badly I would like to learn them. He agreed, and then did his first ever in three tries:
