So Mathias for how long have you been living in the U.S and what made you move here?
I've been here for almost 12 years now, I moved here for skating. Back then there was not much happening in Europe, the whole skate (espicially the vert) scene was here.
Ok, I've know you are working with a new project tell me about it?
It's actually kind of funny, I ended up in the last industry I thought I would end up in, the toy and game industry. We make and sell this swedish board game Pentago. It has won Game of the Year in Sweden, Finland, France, Germany, Belgium, Norway and The Mensa game award to name a few. it's been fun setting up a company and seen the whole idea grow, we have 60 sales reps, and over 650 accounts in the US.
Sounds good. I've tried the game and I must say I like it. Whats up with your skating these days and what brands do you ride for?
I've been hurt for the last 5 months, I hit my head and damaged my inner ear, I saw double for 2 months straigt, soon as I skated I would get motion sick. it's been really hard to deal with, but i'm better now, been skating lots of street, the vert still messes me up, I get dizzy and headaches. I ride for WESC, Premium,
Hope you can start shredding the vertramp asap. We skated street yesterday and you did good, learnt nollie hardflip flat so who knows maybe there is a street career coming:). Any last words and thank yous?
Thanks, I can't wait to get back on the ramp and film a new part. (you might even see a street trick or two)
